Australian bank says ‘self-praising’ is a distraction

Posted November 12, 2018 11:33:49 AUSTRALIAN banks have been accused of using self-help to distract staff from the problems they are facing, as a series of bank reviews are expected to reveal more of the truth about the financial crisis.

The review into Australia’s financial crisis has been delayed by a year and a half because of concerns about the impact on the future of the global financial system.

More than a year of research by the Reserve Bank, which will be released at the end of November, is being scrutinised as it looks at the banking system and how it was structured in the crisis.
