‘No excuses’: Man who punched police officer says he has ‘nothing to apologize for’

Police have released CCTV footage of a man who punched a police officer in the face after being pulled over for speeding.

Police say the incident happened in the early hours of Monday, September 15.

The 31-year-old man from the south west has been charged with attempted assault, criminal damage, causing grievous bodily harm and criminal damage to a vehicle.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Sydney Local Court on September 21.
